Taxon description
Heintze 1990:
Najpospolitszy gatunek rodzaju Cosymbia. Motyl pojawia się w dwu pokoleniach w tym samym czasie, co gatunek poprzedni (Calothysanis amata). Różnie ubarwione gąsienice — od zielonych, różowych do czarnofioletowych i czerwonobrązowych żerują nierzadko po kilka na dębach, a wg innych źródeł i na brzozach. Poczwarki barwy zielonej lub jasnoszaroróżowej zimują przyczepione przędzą do gałęzi lub między liśćmi w oprzędach, luźno zbudowanych z niewielkiej ilości nitek.
