Taxon description
Szeroko rozpowszechniony gatunek okołobiegunowy, w Europie rozmieszczony od północnej części Europy Środkowej aż do skrajnych krańców na północy kontynentu. W Polsce bardzo rzadko znajdowany. Zasiedla głównie suche otwarte obszary piaszczyste i tereny morenowe, słabo pokryte płatami niskiej roślinności, spotykany w towarzystwie Miscodera arctica Payk., wykazywany również z polodowcowych torfowisk wysokich.
