Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1986c:
Gatunek rozpowszechniony w północnej i środkowej części Europy, sięgający na południe po północne Włochy, Bośnię, północną Serbię i Siedmiogród oraz południowy obszar europejskiej części ZSRR, wykazywany nadto z Ameryki Północnej. W Polsce notowany z nielicznych, rozproszonych stanowisk w różnych częściach kraju. Larwy żyją w zmurszałym, przegrzybiałym drewnie oraz w hubach rosnących na drzewach liściastych, rzadziej iglastych. Jako materiał lęgowy notowano huby z rodzaju Fomes Fr., Polyporus (Mich.) Fr. i Polystictus Fr. Cykl rozwojowy jednoroczny. Postacie dojrzało ukazują się w kwietniu i w maju.
