Taxon description
Szelegiewicz 1968:
Europa, Zakaukazie, Bliski Wschód, Azja Środkowa; zawleczony do Ameryki Północnej.
Gatunek holocykliczny i jednodomny. Żeruje na spodniej stronie liści jaworu — Acer pseucloplatanus L., sporadycznie i na innych klonach — Acer platanoides L., Acer campestre L. W cyklu rozwojowym brak bezskrzydłych dzieworódek. Założycielka rodu charakteryzuje się długowiecznością i opóźnionym okresem rozrodu.
