Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1978:
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony od południowej Szwecji i Litewskiej SRR przez środkową Europę aż do Francji, północnych Włoch, Jugosławii i Ukraińskiej SRR. W Polsce rzadko spotykany, znany z nielicznych stanowisk. Na wyspie Wolin znaleziony przed przeszło 120 laty i od tego czasu powtórnie nie stwierdzony. Występuje w dziuplach drzew, zwłaszcza starych dębów, w ściółce, na wyciekającym soku z pni, w drewnie zmurszałym w sąsiedztwie gniazd mrówek z rodzaju Lasius Fabr.
