Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1983:
Gatunek rozsiedlony w wyższych partiach górskich Europy środkowej i południowej (z wyjątkiem Półwyspu Iberyjskiego). W Polsce chrząszcz rzadko notowany, znany tylko z czterech krain południowych. Żyje w szybko płynących strumieniach i potokach oraz w ich otoczeniu pod kamieniami i napływkami.
