Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1986c:
[KFP 3193: Malachius praeocuppatus] Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony od południowych części Fennoskandii przez całą Europę środkową aż do Francji, południowego Tyrolu, Bułgarii i Ukraińskiej SRR, notowany poza tym z Turkiestanu i obszaru wokół Morza Kaspijskiego. W Polsce rzadko i sporadycznie spotykany, wykazywany z nielicznych stanowisk, przeważnie z pojedynczych w poszczególnych krainach. Zasiedla tereny nizinne i pogórza; występuje na nasłonecznionych zboczach kserotermicznych, często w kopalniach odkrywkowych na gliniastych ściankach, zwłaszcza zasiedlonych przez samotne pszczoły.
