Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1992:
Gatunek europejski, rozprzestrzeniony w południowej i środkowej części kontynentu, na północ w zasięgu buka docierający do Wysp Brytyjskich, Danii i południowej Szwecji. Zamieszkuje całą Polskę z wyjątkiem wyższych położeń górskich, nie notowany jednak jeszcze z niektórych krain. Żeruje przeważnie na buku, rzadziej na grabie. Opada martwe lub obumierające gałęzie. Żerowisko nieregularne leży prawie całkowicie w korze.
