Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1978:

Gatunek szeroko rozprzestrzeniony od Wysp Brytyjskich i północnej Fennoskandii przez cały kontynent europejski aż do północnej Afryki, zawleczony ponadto do Ameryki Północnej. W Polsce występuje prawdopodobnie w całym kraju, znany jednak tylko z nielicznych, rozproszonych stanowisk. Przebywa na terenach lesistych pod butwiejącymi szczątkami roślinnymi i w murszejącym drewnie, często w sąsiedztwie gniazd mrówek.
