Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1997:
Gatunek rozmieszczony w południowej i zachodniej części Europy, południowej części Europy Środkowej, na wschód przez Półwysep Bałkański sięgający po Turcję. W Polsce należy do rzadkości — jest znany tylko z czterech krain. Biologia tego ryjkowca i jego rozwój nie są znane. Postacie dojrzałe łowiono od połowy maja do sierpnia, głównie na glebach piaszczystych, na suchych zboczach, wrzosowiskach, w jasnych lasach i w dołach po wybranym piasku.
