Taxon description
Gatunek szeroko rozprzestrzeniony w całej Europie, w Fennoskandii sięgający daleko poza koło podbiegunowe. W Polsce notowany z nielicznych stanowisk rozproszonych w różnych częściach kraju. Rozwój larwalny odbywa się w gałązkach zbutwiałych brzozy brodawkowatej — Betula verrucosa Ehrh. i głogu dwuszyjkowego — Crataegus oxyacantha L.
