Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1976:
Gatunek zamieszkujący niziny i podgórza w środkowej, północnej i wschodniej Europie. Występuje głównie w zarośniętych, stojących, drobnych zbiornikach wodnych oraz w wodach wolno płynących, rzadziej spotykany w większych stawach, łachach i starorzeczach.
