Taxon description
Wysokogórski gatunek o ograniczonym zasięgu występowania do południowo-wschodniej części środkowej Europy, na południe sięga do Alp Transylwańskich. W Polsce chrząszcz nadzwyczaj rzadko spotykany. Dotychczas znany tylko z trzech okazów znalezionych przez Sz. Tenenbauma (1931) na trasie Hala Gąsienicowa — droga na Liljowe. Występowanie u nas winno być potwierdzone nowszymi materiałami. Wzmianka G. G. Jakobsona (1913) o występowaniu w „Galicji" nie odnosi się do naszego terenu, gdyż była oparta na danych odnoszących się do Czarnohory (Ukraińska SRR).
