Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1983:

Gatunek zamieszkujący południową i środkową część Europy, notowany też z Wysp Brytyjskich, południowej Fennoskandii, Karelskiej ASRR, Syberii Zachodniej i Korei. W Polsce rzadko i sporadycznie spotykany, znany z nielicznych, rozproszonych stanowisk tylko w siedmiu krainach. Zasiedla tereny nizinne i niższe położenia górskie. Odbywa rozwój w piaszczysto-szlamistej glebie na pobrzeżach wód. Postacie dorosłe są poławiane w pobliżu miejsc lęgowych, przeważnie w maju i w czerwcu.
