Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1992:
Gatunek znany głównie z zachodniej i południowej części Europy, notowany ponadto z Algierii, Syrii, Czecho-Słowacji, Polski i Wołynia. Zakorek korzeniowiec znany jest z nielicznych stanowisk w ośmiu krainach Polski, przy czym większość danych o jego rozmieszczeniu oparta jest na znaleziskach sprzed przeszło 80 lat. Żeruje na różnych gatunkach sosen w sposób podobny jak u innych zakorków.
