Gatunek znany z Wysp Owczych, Wysp Brytyjskich, Francji, Szwajcarii, Niemiec i nadbałtyckich republik ZSRR. Żyje wśród kosodrzewiny w wysokich g6rach oraz na torfowiskach wysokich.
