Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1978:
Gatunek szeroko rozpowszechniony w prawie całej Europie od Wysp Brytyjskich i skrajnych prowincji północnych Fennoskandii przez środkową Europę aż do Pirenejów, Alp Zachodnich, środkowych Włoch i Bułgarii, notowany również z północnej Afryki. W Polsce występuje zarówno na terenach nizinnych, jak i w górach, brak jednak danych z Tatr i Bieszczadów. Zamieszkuje lasy liściaste, gdzie przeważnie znajdowany jest na wilgotnych, zacienionych miejscach oraz wśród mchów na podstawie pni drzew.
