Taxon description
Heintze 1990:
W wielu środowiskach spotykany motyl lata w dwu pokoleniach: od końca IV do VI oraz w VII i VIII. Gąsienice, zielone w ciemnozielone paski najczęściej można zaobserwować na iwach, wierzbach, osikach, rzadziej na brzozach i leszczynie od VI do IX. Oprzędy na zimę budują na ziemi lub płytko w ziemi. Zimują poczwarki, barwy ciemnozielonej z jasno użyłkowanymi pokrywami skrzydeł.
