Taxon description
Gatunek rozmieszczony od Pirenejów, północnych Włoch i Bośni przez całą środkową część Europy aż do Wysp Brytyjskich i północnych prowincji Fennoskandii. Wykazywany również z Kaukazu i Syberii. W Polsce występuje prawdopodobnie w całym kraju, ale stosunkowo rzadko notowany. Zasiedla obszary nizinne i niższe rejony podgórskie. Myrmekofil — żyje w gniazdach mrówek z rodzaju Formica L., zwłaszcza F. rufa L.
