Taxon description
Gatunek występujący głównie w Europie Środkowej i Południowej, na północ docierający do Karelskiej SRR i południowych prowincji Finlandii i Szwecji, podawany również z Kaukazu, Azji Mniejszej i Syberii. W Polsce znany z nielicznych stanowisk w południowej części kraju. Zasiedla tereny nizinne i niższe położenia górskie. Roślinami żywicielskimi tego gatunku są różne gatunki mięty — Mentha L., mięta okrągłolistna — M. rotundifolia (L.) Huds., mięta nadwodna — M. aquatica L. i mięta dlugolistna — M. longifolia (L.) Huds.
