Taxon description
Gatunek znany poza Polską ze Szwajcarii, Niemiec, Czechosłowacji, Węgier, Rumunii, Bułgarii i Turcji europejskiej. Identyczność swojej Micaria hospes z Micaria silesiaca L. K. uznał sam Kulczyński, czyniąc odpowiednią notatkę w kartotece zbioru. Nasze badania potwierdziły jego opinię.
Pająk ten zamieszkuje górskie lasy w pasmie wysokości od 500 do 1300 m n.p.m.; żyje pod kamieniami i w rumowiskach, w miejscach niezbyt gęsto zarośniętych.
Dane Kulczyńskiego (1881, 1882a, 1882b, Chyzer i Kulczyński 1897) o występowaniu w Tatrach odnoszą się do słowackiej ich części (Góra Kriván), dane BÖSenberga (1902) o występowaniu na Śląsku dotyczą Łużyc, skąd omawiany gatunek został opisany.
