Gatunek znany poza Polską, ze Szwecji, Wysp Brytyjskich, Francji, Szwajcarii, Włoch, Austrii, Niemiec, Czechosłowacji i Rumunii. Zamieszkuje nasłonecznione łąki i zarośla.
