Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1987:

Gatunek zamieszkujący głównie zachodnią i środkową Europę, notowany także z Siedmiogrodu i Podola. W Polsce notowany z rozproszonych stanowisk w różnych częściach kraju, przy czym większość danych o rozmieszczeniu opiera się na znaleziskach w ubiegłym stuleciu. Zasiedla drzewa liściaste, zwłaszcza stare dęby, bardzo rzadko spotykany na sosnach. Występuje pod odstającą, zmurszałą korą na pniach i gałęziach, w próchnicy przy podstawie drzew oraz wśród mchów i porostów rosnących na starych pniach.
