Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1978:
Gatunek znany z południowej Europy (z wyjątkiem Półwyspu Iberyjskiego) oraz z południowych obszarów środkowej Europy. Rozmieszczenie w Polsce słabo poznane, dotychczas gatunek notowany tylko z trzech. stanowisk. Według W. Szymczakowskiego (1959b) omyłkowo podany z Niziny Wielkopolsko-Kujawskiej (Wielkopolska) przez J. W. Szulczewskiego (1922) na podstawie błędnie oznaczonych, okazów Ptomaphagus medius (Rey). Znajdowany wśród butwiejących liści, niekiedy również w przedsionkach jaskiń.
