Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1992:
Gatunek rozmieszczony w środkowej i południowo-wschodniej części Europy oraz na Kaukazie. W Polsce znany z nielicznych stanowisk rozmieszczonych w siedmiu krainach zachodnich i południowych. Zasiedla tereny nizinne i pagórkowate. Postacie dojrzałe pojawiają się w maju i spotykano je do sierpnia. Jako roślina żywicielska podawana jest ostróźeczka polna — Consolida regalis S.F. Gray, rosnąca głównie wśród zbóż. Larwa żeruje w zalążniach w czerwcu lub lipcu, przepoczwarcza się w glebie.
