Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1978:
Gatunek o niedostatecznie poznanym rozmieszczeniu, notowany z nielicznych stanowisk w środkowej Europie oraz południowej części północnej Europy. W Polsce jest nadzwyczaj rzadko spotykanym chrząszczem, notowanym tylko z trzech krain południowo-zachodnich. Występuje przeważnie na łąkach wilgotnych w gniazdach kreta, zwłaszcza wysłanych liśćmi suchymi, również w starych pniach zamieszkałych przez gryzonie oraz w gniazdach mrówek Formica rufa L. i Lasius fuliginosus (Latr.).
