Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1976:
Pospolity, szeroko rozmieszczony gatunek w prawie całej Europie (z Fennoskandii znany tylko z południowych części obszaru), notowany również z Azji Mniejszej, Kaukazu i zachodniej części Azji. Żyje głównie w wodach stojących oraz wolno płynących, zarośniętych przez rośliny błotne i wodne. Nie poławiany w wyższych partiach gór.
