Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1986a:
Gatunek europejski, notowany z nielicznych, izolowanych, prawdopodobnie reliktowych stanowisk ze Szwajcarii, Francji, Włoch, RFN, NRD, Polski, Czechosłowacji, Austrii, Węgier i Rumunii; wykazany nadto z jednego stanowiska w południowej Szwecji. Wszędzie spotykany rzadko i sporadycznie, przeważnie w małej liczbie osobników. W Polsce znany tylko z sześciu krain. Znajdowany przeważnie w miesiącach letnich pod odstającą korą na pniach buków, dębów, lip, brzóz i leszczyn oraz na ich suchych gałęziach.
