Taxon description
Heintze 1990:
Pospolity ten motyl występuje w dwu pokoleniach bez wyraźnej przerwy w czasie pojawu, od połowy V do końca IX. Gąsienice żerują na roślinach zielnych od VI do X. Na zimę zakopują się, budują oprzędy w ziemi i zamieniają się w poczwarki. W wyjątkowych przypadkach zimują gąsienice.
