Taxon description
Gatunek występujący głównie w południowo-wschodniej Europie, skąd nielicznymi izolowanymi stanowiskami dociera na Węgry i do południowo-wschodniej Polski. W Polsce chrząszcz bardzo rzadki, znany tylko z trzech krain, od przeszło 50 lat nie poławiany. Bionomia tego gatunku nie jest znana. H. Ciszkiewicz (1929) znalazł jednego samca 25.IV.1925 pod kamieniem na suchym piaszczystym terenie.
