Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1986c:
Gatunek zasiedlający głównie Podobszar Śródziemnomorski, docierający na północ do Węgier i Słowacji. W Polsce z całą pewnością jeszcze nie stwierdzony — ogólnikowe wzmianki o występowaniu na Śląsku opierały się na dawnym, nie potwierdzonym później stanowisku górskim, nie leżącym w naszych granicach (Pradziad w Czechosłowacji). Wymagania środowiskowe i bionomia tego gatunku nie są znane.
Burakowski et al. 2000:
Gatunek zamieszkujący Podobszar Śródziemnomorski, na północ docierający do Węgier, Moraw i Słowacji. Gatunku tego w dalszym ciągu nie zaliczamy do fauny krajowej, ze względu na jego występowanie na południu Europy. Wytarte, pozbawione łusek okazy gatunków z rodzaju Anthrenus O.F. Müll. z łatwością mogą być brane za przedstawicieli Orphilus niger (Rossi).
