Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1990b:
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony w Europie, zachodniej Azji aż po Syberię Zachodnią, Mongolię i Jakucję, ponadto notowany z północno-zachodniej części Afryki oraz z Madery; w Europie na północ dociera mniej więcej do 65° równoleżnika. Spotykany w ciągu całego roku, na miejscach trawiastych, również w zieleńcach śródmiejskich i na uprawach zbóż. Żeruje na owsie, pszenicy, jęczmieniu, kukurydzy oraz na różnych gatunkach dzikich i uprawnych traw. Bionomia tego gatunku jest poznana dość dobrze (Warchałowski 1985).
