Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1981:
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony od Wysp Brytyjskich i południowych prowincji Fennoskandii przez całą środkową część Europy aż do północnych Włoch i Jugosławii, notowany też z Syberii i Turkiestanu. W Polsce występuje prawdopodobnie na całym obszarze oprócz wyższych partii górskich, ale brak jest jeszcze udokumentowanych danych z wielu krain. Zasiedla zarówno tereny nizinne, jak i górzyste, gdzie sięga do strefy subalpejskiej. Poławiany pod opadłym listowiem, wśród mchów, w nawozie, kompoście, gnijących grzybach i pod padliną.
