Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1981:

Gatunek rozpowszechniony w całej północnej i środkowej części Europy, rzadko i lokalnie znajdowany we Francji, Włoszech, częściej w północnej Jugosławii, notowany również z Syberii; najdalej na wschód wysuniętym stanowiskiem jest Czyta na Zabajkalu. W Polsce nie notowany jeszcze z ośmiu krain, znany zarówno z terenów nizinnych, jak i górzystych, przy czym wiele danych o rozmieszczeniu opartych jest na znaleziskach z ubiegłego stulecia. Występuje zarówno na terenach otwartych, jak i lesistych. Poławiany pod rozkładającymi się szczątkami roślinnymi, w murszejącym drewnie, gnijących hubach i grzybach, wśród mchów, a nawet w gniazdach mrówek, na przykład Formica rufa L.
