Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1981:

Gatunek występujący w całej środkowej i północnej części Europy (oprócz skrajnych północnych prowincji Fennoskandii), na południe sięgający do środkowej Francji, północnych Włoch, Bośni i Siedmiogrodu. W Polsce wykazywany z nielicznych miejscowości położonych w różnych częściach kraju, przy czym większość danych o rozmieszczeniu oparta jest na znaleziskach z ubiegłego stulecia. Występuje na terenach nizinnych i pagórkowatych oraz w górskich dolinach rzecznych. Zasiedla gniazda mrówek Formica rufa L. i F. fusca L. W miejscach pojawu spotykany gromadnie.
