Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1981:
Gatunek borealno-górski, znany głównie z Fennoskandii (oprócz jej części południowej) i Karelskej ASRR, poza tym rzadko i sporadycznie notowany z Alp, Sudetów, Karpat i górzystych, obszarów we Francji i w północnych Włoszech. W Polsce pewne stanowiska leżą w Sudetach. Ogólnikowe wzmianki o występowaniu w Tatrach powinny być potwierdzone szczegółowymi danymi odnośnie obszaru polskiego. Dane o niżowych stanowiskach na Śląsku Dolnym opierają się prawdopodobnie na chrząszczach zniesionych wodami powodziowymi z gór. Oxypoda lugubris Kraatz występuje przeważnie wśród wilgotnych mchów, głównie nad potokami i strumieniami oraz na torfowiskach.
