Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1979:
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony od Karelskiej SRR i Finlandii przez całą środkową Europę aż do wschodniej Francji, północnych Włoch, Bośni i Siedmiogrodu, wykazywany również z Syberii. W Polsce, prócz wyższych partii górskich, prawdopodobnie występuje na całym obszarze, jednak nie znany jeszcze z wielu krain. Żyje w hubach nadrzewnych i w grzybach, którymi odżywiają się zarówno larwy jak i postacie dorosłe.
