Taxon description
Gatunek palearktyczny, rozprzestrzeniony od Wysp Brytyjskich po Syberię Wschodnią, w Szwecji sięgający za koło podbiegunowe. W Polsce znany z nielicznych stanowisk w jedenastu krainach. Zasiedla środowiska wilgotne. Żeruje na szczawiu zwyczajnym — Rumex acetosa L., larwa powoduje wyrosła na łodygach kwiatonośnych. Postacie dojrzałe spotykano od maja do września.
