Taxon description
Gatunek o zasięgu ograniczonym głównie do obszarów górzystych w środkowej Europie, Francji, północnych Włoszech, Bośni i Siedmiogrodzie. W Polsce wykazany jedynie z Sudetów na podstawie danych sprzed prawie stu lat i dlatego zasiedlenie naszego kraju przez omawiany gatunek winno być potwierdzone nowymi materiałami. Zamieszkuje głównie strefę subalpejską i alpejską, docierając do wysokości około 2500 m n.p.m. w Alpach. Spotykany w lasach wśród mchów i gnijącej roślinności, na halach pod wysychającymi ekskrementami i nawozem, w strefie alpejskiej wśród mchów, w kępkach trawy i pod kamieniami leżącymi na miejscach wilgotnych.
