Taxon description
Gatunek występujący głównie w południowo-wschodniej Europie, skąd dociera do południowej Polski, Słowacji, Węgier i Austrii. W Polsce należy do rzadkości — notowano go tylko z trzech krain. Spotykany na drzewach i krzewach liściastych, zwłaszcza leszczynie — Corylus avellana L. Wszystkie okazy z Polski są samicami, co nasuwa przypuszczenie, że gatunek ten rozmnaża się u nas partenogenetycznie (M. Mazur*). Bionomia i stadia przedimaginalne nie są poznane.
