Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1981:
Gatunek północnopalearktyczny, w Europie znany z Fennoskandii, Karelii i środkowej części kontynentu, na południe dociera do Banatu i Siedmiogrodu. Wszędzie, również w Polsce, nadzwyczaj rzadko znajdowany — w Polsce nie obserwowany od przeszło 50 lat. Żyje w lasach pierwotnych, głównie na starych pniach świerków i jodeł porośniętych mchami, porostami i hubami, zwłaszcza z rodzaju żagiew —Polyporus (Mich.) Fr.; rzadziej spotykany na drzewach liściastych, będących domieszką drzewostanu iglastego.
