Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1995:
Gatunek rozsiedlony głównie w zachodniej części Europy, notowany poza tym z Holandii, Niemiec oraz z Kaukazu i zachodniej części Afryki Północnej. W Polsce dotychczas nie stwierdzony w sposób pewny. Dawna wzmianka sprzed przeszło 120 lat o występowaniu omawianego gatunku na Babiej Górze jest niewiarygodna (Mroczkowski i Stefańska 1992). Według danych z piśmiennictwa ryjkowiec ten zasiedla środowiska wilgotne, zwłaszcza słonawiska.
