Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1997:
Gatunek rozmieszczony od Turkmenii i Turcji poprzez Rumunię, Bułgarię i Ukrainę po Węgry, Morawy, Czechy i Słowację, a najdalej na północ wysunięte stanowiska, niedawno odkryte przez M. Wanata (1987b) oraz J. Szypułę i M. Wanata (1996) znane są z Polski z dwu krain. M. Wanat (1987b) opisał również larwę i poczwarkę omawianego gatunku, nieznane dotychczas w piśmiennictwie entomologicznym. Występuje na suchych i ciepłych miejscach — na nieużytkach, przydrożach, zrębach i polanach leśnych oraz miejscach kamienistych. Żyje na bylicy piołun — Artemisia absinthium L. Larwa wygryza pęcherzykowatą minę na szczycie blaszki liściowej; żywi się jej miękiszem i tworzy w minie ciemny kokon przed przepoczwarczeniem.
