Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1978:
Gatunek borealno-górski, występujący w Fennoskandii aż do skrajnych prowincji północnych oraz wyspowo we wschodnich Alpach, górach Harcu, Turyngii, zachodniej Czechosłowacji, Sudetach i Karpatach. W Polsce znany z nielicznych stanowisk w Sudetach i Tatrach. Postacie dorosłe pokrojem ciała podobne do biegaczowatych z rodzaju Nebria Latreille żyją wśród wilgotnego mchu, otoczaków i żwiru na pobrzeżach górskich jezior, potoków, strumieni i rozlewisk. Wszędzie występują lokalnie, ale wtedy najczęściej gromadnie.
