Taxon description
Gatunek znany z prawie całej Europy, na północ sięgający do Wysp Brytyjskich, południowych prowincji Norwegii i Finlandii oraz środkowej Szwecji, notowany ponadto z Wysp Kanaryjskich i Kaukazu. W Polsce rzadko i sporadycznie znajdowany. Żyje w zmurszałym drewnie i pod obluźnioną korą martwych lub obumierających drzew zarówno iglastych, jak i liściastych.
