Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1997:
Gatunek rozmieszczony od wschodniej Francji, Włoch i środkowej Europy przez Półwysep Bałkański do Kaukazu i Turcji. W Polsce chrząszcz rzadko spotykany, notowany z nielicznych stanowisk w południowej i zachodniej części kraju. Spotykany na polach, ugorach, miedzach, suchych zboczach i miejscach ruderalnych. Żyje na ostróżeczce polnej — Consolida regalis S.F. Gray, roślinie rosnącej głównie wśród zbóż. Postacie dojrzałe łowiono na roślinach od maja do września.
