Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1986b:
Gatunek rozmieszczony głównie w środkowej części Europy, docierający na zachód do północno-wschodniej Francji, a na południe do Włoch, Jugosławii i Bułgarii. W Polsce chrząszcz bardzo rzadki, znany tylko z pięciu krain na podstawie znalezisk sprzed przeszło 60 lat. Spotykany na butwiejących pniach i pniakach porośniętych grzybami i hubami, wśród gnijących opadłych liści oraz na pleśniejących mchach pod świerkami.
