Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1979:
Gatunek rozmieszczony od południowych części Anglii i Szwecji przez całą środkową Europę aż do północnej i środkowej Francji, północnych Włoch, Serbii, Siedmiogrodu i Ukraińskiej SRR. Wszędzie, również w Polsce, lokalnie i rzadko spotykany. Zasiedla głównie tereny nizinne i podgórza. Przeważnie znajdowany na pobrzeżach wód i na terenach bagiennych pokrytych zwartą roślinnością zielną. Zimą niekiedy licznie występuje nad zmarzłymi wodami w łodygach trzciny pospolitej — Phragmites communis Trinius i pałki — Typha L.
