Taxon description
Gatunek kosmopolityczny pochodzenia palearktycznego.
Holocykliczny i jednodomny. Żeruje w niewielkich koloniach na liściach lucerny — Medicago sativa L., Medicago falcataa L., Medicago lupulina L., komonicy — Lotus corniculatus L. i koniczyny — Trifolium arvense L. Kolonie tej mszycy są niekiedy odwiedzane przez mrówki. Notowany jako wektor chorób wirusowych.
