Taxon description
Gatunek zamieszkujący południową część Europy Środkowej oraz Europę południową; wykazywany również z południowej Anglii, Kaukazu i Afryki Północnej. Rozmieszczenie tego chrząszcza jest poznane niedostatecznie, gdyż wiele dawnych danych budzi wątpliwości wobec częstego mylenia omawianego gatunku z małymi okazami T. carinifrons (Bonv.). Wymagania ekologiczne i bionomia nie są znane.
